- A degree in Hotel Management or Restaurant Management from a recognizable university.
- Experience in the hospitality industry
- If you do not already have one, you will need to obtain a degree in hotel management or restaurant management from a four year university or college.
- Once you have attained your degree you will need to begin working your way up in the industry. Apply for a position in the field of hospitality upon your university graduation; it doesn’t necessarily have to be a managerial post as you will more than likely have to start from ground up to build experience in the field.
- Actively participate in the hotel’s training programs offered in the initial stages of attaining a job. What you learn here can greatly assist you in moving up the ladder of success.
