How to Make a Fort
Making a fort can be done in a number of moderately simple steps:
- Find the specific location for your fort. You can choose to build it within your residential property or in an area near it.
- Find trustworthy people to help you build your fort. You need to make sure that the person or group of persons could be trusted as this task is normally done secretly.
- Design the fort before actual construction. You can either draw the layout or use a miniature model. This will give you and your friends a clear idea of the project.
- Purchase the materials you need after creating the model. The amount of wood for the walls and the floor of your fort will depend on how large you want it to be. Maple wood is a good option for this type of structure. Nails, paint, and paint sealer are other materials you would need.
- When you have bought all the stuff you need, transport them to the area where you would build your fort. Put water-proof covering on your materials so that they would not get wet if it rains.
- Assemble the fort. Always refer to your plan while carrying out the construction. Putting the fort together may take a few days to one week, depending on its size and the number of people involved in the project. When the fort has been assembled, you can start painting it. Remember to use paint that would camouflage the structure.
